I guess this is part of the new Windows11 update, but all of a sudden up pops a message box saying ‘windows.systemtoast.capabilityaccess’ — never seen it before so I Googled it, but not a lot of info. I had not seen it on the insider Channel so I had to do a fair bit of digging.

It actually looks as though it may be useful as the pop-up warned me that I needed to look at my StorageSpaces disk integrity. My only criticism of the early warning was its lack of detail, and the use of a message header that is to say the least alarmist.

Luckily it was a false alarm, one stick was running a little warm having just updated and restarted the system. The stick cooled down and now all OK having checked it out with ClearDiskInfo. However, I do not knock having an early warning system even if it comes up with false alarms – as long as these are not too frequent.

I think that the pop up was an error and most likely served a purpose for a while, but this function should have been removed for an end user.
