      Windows 10 S Flaw

“Windows 10 S suffers from a medium-severity security vulnerability related to its Device Guard functionality.

An attacker would have to already have code running on the machine to install the registry entries necessary to exploit this issue, although this could be through [remote code execution] such as a vulnerability in Edge.”

Paul Thurrott also comments “In using Windows 10 S extensively, I’ve actually run into a malware issue, too. Which is something that’s never happened to me while not in S mode.”

OT: I’m sure PT looks like Alfie Bass.

He doesn’t, why would you think he does? I had to google Alfie bass. Never heard of him before. PT had a few good pod casts i like to listen to.

Even when he was a massive windows fan boy he was entertaining, these days he is far more level headed and open minded. Some of his older fans, now moan that he often dumps on ms. Which I prefer tbh

My favourite podcast he does is called what the tech, his most famous is windows weekly. Lee put me on to that about 5 years ago or more.

For me W10 is as solid as a rock.

Remember the days of xp pre service packs, dial up and modems. Droppers where just queuing up to infect yer machine back then.

          What fun. ?

I agree, though I’ve not used 10s. And I don’t use the metro side of it either, except for the BT sports app as BT sees that as mobile and my BT subscription is for mobile only.
