Yesterday a package arrived whilst I was out. MT have sent me a new router. A Technicolor TG588V v2.

I have not had time to touch it yet, but I have an idea Dave has slated them in the past.

How will it compare to my existing Netgear DGN2200 – V4 I wonder. Maybe tomorrow I will find out.

The TG588 is nothing special but it should be solid enough so good luck.

I have now had the latest TalkTalk super router for a couple of weeks and it works better than expected.

39Mbps upstream 12Mbps downstream, Gigabit ethernet and 5Mhz WiFi that covers all of my, admittedly small, flat at full speed.

Steam even let me download Doom again last week at an average of 34Mbps.

And swap 5Mhz for 5Ghz as well. Don’t think i’m as sober as I thought I was ?
