Snowdonia forecast for Saturday Steve:
Click Friday and “Further Outlook” for Saturday, there’s a PDF for a Printable Forecast, maybe better getting that tomorrow.
Don’t get your wounded gob cold, frostbite in the holes would be something else!

I'm out.December 14, 2017 at 5:22 pm #14359Cheers Bob ?
Looks decent. ??❄️ ?
December 14, 2017 at 5:43 pm #14361Don’t lose the girls.
Two girls on an outing, I do that with my grandaughter and her mate now and again. Always enjoy it better than when I used to take the boys out together. Girls ask more intelligent questions, IMO. But are noisier when excited!?
Good luck! ?

I'm out.February 27, 2018 at 1:42 pm #17146Got snow here now. It’s coming down pretty good for Cardiff, IF it carries on or gets heavier it might just start to settle. Can’t se it personally, even though the wind is bitter I think the grounds too warm.
February 27, 2018 at 2:02 pm #17148Nothing here yet. Not expected until Thursday.
Daughter sent me some snowy pics from Bangor this morning.
February 27, 2018 at 5:03 pm #17152I know the country does not get much sunshine surely people should not confuse sunshine with snow? Sunshine is about all we have really had so far. A tiny scattering of some easy melt white stuff may be a few eights of an inch at most, so why all the panic? If it was a shade warmer you could have sun bathed here.
February 27, 2018 at 5:22 pm #17153Looking WNW* out of my front door @ 13:48 today:

Looking out of same door @ 16:48 today:

I thought we had got away with it yet again, so far it has been to the north, south and west of us. Much more tomorrow. By a happy accident, we were up and about early, but SWMBO’s hospital appointment was cancelled and we shopped earlier, bought extra. As long as we don’t get powercuts, we will be OK for at least a week plus.
Good news for everyone West of us (that’s most of you here) – it’s all heading West now. Tomorrow and Thursday it comes straight down to us from North and East. I’m praying for no powercuts. Snow shovel is by the back door, rescued my wellies and thick socks. I remember 2009/10, we were snowed in – it kept coming, thawing, freezing and snowing again, rinsed and repeated from November to late March.
Stay warm and well, guys!
*West North West. I was a nautical person, once.???

Keep calm and get the wellies out Nolan, Dave and Richard, it’s on its way to you!

I'm out.February 27, 2018 at 6:28 pm #17157It started belting down here but thankfully only lasted 10 – 15 mins or I think we’d be knee deep in it by now.
February 27, 2018 at 6:35 pm #17160Don’t know if it’s the same elsewhere but my car is now covered in a fine layer of dust. It was perfectly clean before the snow started.
February 27, 2018 at 6:42 pm #17161All high school and colleges was closed today. Jn school was in as enough teachers live local.
My car, and my neighbours are all stranded in oir street. So no one has been out today.
This was the view out of my girls classroom at 8am, it was about 5”. Nothing has melted throughout the day, and it’s snowing again.
We never get the, so quite a rare thing.
February 27, 2018 at 9:34 pm #17162It’s been snowing on/off all day furious, but didn’t last long, freaky.
We had a new weather warning for Friday 6am non stop till Saturday afternoon, and bad freezes for March.
The snow we had today I don’t think I have seen it like that before, was neither hear nor there.
I have always thought, let me say it’s been -2 Celius today if we were still in fahrenheitit it would be 28.4 that’s not freezing. In the days of fahrenheitit and it was below freezing, you knew about it.
Cheers
JohnFebruary 27, 2018 at 11:34 pm #17164We had a dusting overnight, about an inch on the front patio by the cars. Similarly on the roads, but as the day drew on, come lunchtime, the roads were clear when I took the wife to the gym.
A client picked up their dog early today as they had set out for work in London at 5.30. Got about 25 miles in and the roads – M2 – were getting worse, so he turned round and got back here about 11 o’clock. News was showing the M20, next step along his route in to London, more like a car park and even worse than what he’d been through.
The snow has stayed on the garden throughout the day and at this moment in time ( 11.30pm ) there’s an extra dusting coming down and settling on top of this morning’s snow. We’re due some hail in the next hour, and light snow through till 4 o’clock. Let’s wait and see what tomorrow brings.
Like Bob, being on the East coast, we’re copping for it first, as the weather front is coming in from Siberia. The North will get the worst of it tomorrow afternoon, so don’t be clearing those paths until it’s stopped, Bob, or you’ll be out doing it all over again later on.
February 28, 2018 at 1:15 am #17165What really saddens me is that when I was in school unless it was a minimum of 10′ of snow, there was school!! Not fair!! ?
The more you meet people the more you understand why Noah took animals instead of humans
February 28, 2018 at 7:44 am #17166JC you need to watch with clearing pathways. If someone trips after you have cleared it your liable. If you don’t touch to your not.
Totally stupid, and the opposite to how it works in the US. There your responsible to clear your pathway and the bit of path outside your property. It should be this way here. But isn’t.
February 28, 2018 at 7:56 am #17167Yes, that’s right and I agree, totally stupid. I was referring back to Bob’s comment about “snow shovel and boots and thick socks ready by the back door” and was telling him to wait until it had finished dropping, before he starts clearing as iirc he does for a few infirm neighbours as well as his own place.
February 28, 2018 at 8:07 am #17168Overnight we had a little bit of the cold, make that very cold -6.7 and a tiny amount of funny white stuff.
Front View

Rear Garden, so I have to accept that the images from the rest of the country might not be false or fake news.

It is a bit chilly all round, though the snow is not really that deep or life restricting yet; we have had more, much more in the past.
February 28, 2018 at 12:59 pm #17171Nice garden Richard, but im not sure on your neighbours choice of paint colour. Who lives there? Barbie!
