Sorry – I did smile at the frogs legs bit, but I just happened to remember the Swiss work.
Incidentally both Russia and the US have been working on BCI controls for fighter jets. I think the US are using it for their capable F16 buddy planes that escort their F35 Flying Turkeys, while I read somewhere that the Russians were using it in their ‘Look and Shoot’ systems.
I looked for links to the Russian work but cannot find them.
This hints at the US military strategy. link

February 4, 2021 at 11:21 am #67341Using the Oculus controllers. Wasn’t sure if I can do hand tracking for Beat Saber.

February 4, 2021 at 11:46 am #67342It would be a good test of the AI used in the hand tracking, and how much CPU it gobbles. As a Pi can do face tracking fairly effectively, I would be disappointed if the Oculus hand tracking did not work very well. At least now you have a baseline to act as a comparison.
February 4, 2021 at 4:40 pm #67364Just checking the page, Beat Saber doesn’t support hand tracking. Waltz of the Wizard is supports it, but it’s not a title I own.

February 14, 2021 at 5:35 pm #67437Drezha. What ever controller you was using does show some WOW as in reality movement in a cyber place.
A bit spooky.
August 21, 2021 at 3:35 pm #68490The poor old (5th Gen minus any capabilities) Flying Turkey is going to be outmatched by the Japanese 6th gen fighter (true 5th gen plus associated drone squadron). Personally I think they would be better off by dropping the expensive manned aircraft bit.
(Sorry wrong thread = meant to put this on the Flying Turkey thread)
