      I have a Acer Aspire V5-431 V2.11 Windows 10 Home.

I want to use it on my VGA Monitor, it has no VGA socket so I thought I would try this

It didn’t seem to work, the seller supplied a driver for windows 10 it still didn’t work, so I returned it to Amazon.

Is it even possible to use a USB to VGA adapter and use my VGA Monitor for a laptop.

      Cheers
      John

Sorry I cannot specifically answer your question, but in theory –yes. I have however very successfully used usb3 to Displayport to get monitor output from a laptop.

USB connections can often be picky about how and when you install drivers. I see that your laptop probably has hdmi output – why not use that and get an hdmi to vga adapter instead?

I noticed several sockets never thought one was HDMI I will try a HDMI to VGA, nice one

          Cheers
