Having left my PC on for a few hours – I came back to a blue screen with True Key emblazoned thereon – didn’t seem to be able to get out of it – so pressed ‘reset’ – having Googled etc I was unable to remove this by the W7 add/rem prog utility and CCleaner failed as well. Eventually I located McAfee who apparently are involved with this and they kindly gave me direction to another uninstal prog – I think it’s gone. I believe that the may have been activated by a recent Adobe update – the original TK prog gave an installed date of 2106.
I now find that when I open folders on my PC, I now have a preview pane in all of them – I don’t want it. I have looked at some possibilities to get rid of it to no avail. I do not want a ‘preview pane’ and it has only been there since True Key made its ugly appearance. They made be unrelated but how do I rid myself of the folder preview screen please?
Thanks, Dave

September 25, 2017 at 9:38 pm #12096Dwynne I have two links to get rid of Truekey:
-that’s ghacks, and as you guessed, they say it was probably inserted by not unchecking an Adobe Flash download or update.
This is the genuine, horse’s mouth, Intel link, Intel will not allow the use of tinyurl, so a long link:
SECOND EDIT: then there is removing Preview Panes:
Good luck!

I'm out.September 26, 2017 at 12:06 am #12103Thanks I had already got rid of True Key but the pane (pain?) panel was a bit more difficult to find, eventually in
organise > Layout and untick the relevant box.
Many thanks, Dave
