Received an email today, from me, telling that my email has been hacked. A bit of rudimentary sleuthing has shown that the real email came from Kenya. Now, I haven’t been able to find an originating email address, and the hell and damnation promised to me has caused me a real concern. They will send pictures of all my forum and Netflix activity to everyone in my address book. How upsetting if people find out I binge watched “The Good Place”.
However, I have been able to locate an abuse email address, and whilst it may not be genuine, it’s all I have t0 go with, so email sent with either a “Block the account”, or “Knock yourself out” message.
The email server that the supposedly hacked address belongs to, is owned and controlled by me, and I know it hasn’t been compromised, so let’s see what comes back. Should be fun.
Arch Linux, on a Ryzen 7 1800X, 32 GB, 5 (yes -5) HDs inc 5 SSDs, 4 RPi 3Bs + 1 RPi 4B - one as an NFS server with two more drives, PiHole (shut yours), Plex server, cloud server, and other random Pi stuff. Nice CoolerMaster case, 2 x NV GTX 1070 8GB, and a whopping 32" AOC 1440P monitor.
