When a new Windows 10 PC is first switched on it goes straight into set-up. Is there any way a used PC can be set up to do the same (after the HDD has been wiped or replaced)? I thought of just putting the downloaded (to a usb stick) files on the disc but have the feeling that when it reboots the setup will start again! I haven’t tried it yet!

I am selling a laptop and would like to set it up so that when the new owner switches it on it goes straight into loading the OS – just like a new PC would.

            Ah, I have done that.

            Just install the operating system.

But dont boot into set up.

If you do find your self in set up, I think you can go backwards to set up start and just give it a hard shut down. 🙂

I guess set up will be on a timer, I fink windows is one month before time out?

Oh, I did not receive any complaints from the buyer. So must have worked then. 🙂
