VLC (like a lot of Open Source stuff) is not the friendliest thing to use. I’d recommend taking a look at their forum.
[edit] you also need to Google a lot if you want playlist managers etc. As stated a lot of (very well) hidden gems!
February 20, 2017 at 3:03 am #4160It’s been over 24h and all seems fine now.
Good work boss. ?

Forumite Points: 0I clicked on exception on the first instance, I haven’t seen it since, I may or may not on my nest fresh install.
February 20, 2017 at 9:08 pm #4208I’m sure it will be fine now. I use cPanel every day for my customers and it’s straight foward to install a cert. When, in this case Ubuntu it can be a ball ache. From comodo you get next to nowt in the way of guidence and it’s a case of chuck it and see. How ever I will own up to not duplicating the install on my other site which works perfectly how ever I do often forget the obvious. I did use to put everything down that I had done so I would remember and thats why there is blog here but on this occasion I forgot. :mail:

February 20, 2017 at 10:37 pm #4210Been about 48h and the pixel hasn’t through a wobble. So I think it’s fixed. Strange how whatever extra bit you needed to do only elected a few devices.
February 22, 2017 at 6:43 pm #4268all seems fine now Lee, i think you cracked it. and talking of cracking it, i entered the site for the first time in anger today on a desttop (briefly jumped in previously) and its a really nice nice forum, one of the best ive seen, and miles ahead of what MM ever was, the last ‘fixed’ version was just as broken as the one it replaced. this may have a few quirks to iron out, but very few. good job.
February 22, 2017 at 8:06 pm #4272I’d echo Steve’s comments – a very nice job of work! Many thanks.
February 22, 2017 at 8:10 pm #4273Still things to do. For one, improve it on the mobile but thats easy but my bug bear after watching a few coments here and there is navigation, a cure to the question “How do I post a new topic?”. My aim is to cure them problems before the end of the weekend! I usualy tinker on a sunday while everyone is having there dinner.

February 22, 2017 at 8:33 pm #4277I have just one gripe compared with the MM forum. I would quickly sweep through sections only looking to see if sections of interest were blue (fresh postings). If so enter, if not move on.
I now enter via the Forumite -tech forums route, and effectively need to run past every section looking at the date and time to see if I need enter or not.
May just me being picky.

February 22, 2017 at 9:05 pm #4283If it gets quiet here in a bit I may shut down the place for an hour or two so I can work on the mobile side of things so be warned!

February 23, 2017 at 3:02 am #4318What happens to the cool changed I stumbled across earlier Lee, did it not pan out in the time alloted? Looks good.
February 23, 2017 at 3:10 am #4319Did not play ball and further modding required. Hopefully next day or so.

February 23, 2017 at 3:38 am #4320Good luck with that. I’m on my third night of no sleep, and I think I’m ready :good:
February 23, 2017 at 4:19 pm #4390Categories, I see now. Much easier (for me) this will be my entry point in future.

That is what I did as soon as it was setup. By far the quickest way. Hover over “Forums” – click “Latest Replies.” B-)
