As mentioed in another thread, I am trying to return some Amazon stuff.

Someone came to collect them, but refused saying they were too big.

Where’s that leave me? I have tried to contact Amazon, cut it short Amazon now say they can’t yet reply as there is an on going investigation.

I now feel a little guilty, have I shopped someone?

      Cheers
      John

Well, I doubt he will be sacked before Christmas and will still be able to afford the largest turkey at the market and tiny Tim will still have a great Christmas.

Not your issue John. I wouldn’t give it a second thought.

You’ve done exactly what you’re supposed to. If you hadn’t contacted Amazon, what would have happened to you and the parcel you wanted to return? Either you or the seller would have had to deal with it because this guy either wouldn’t or couldn’t do his job.

There’s a problem on Amazon’s end, and they seem to be looking into it

I kid you not, gospel this but I have had 8 parcels from amazon the past week and half go missing. Believe me I have put a lot of complaints in especially as they were all Christmas presents for the kids. I did notice after they informed me that the parcels were missing that the items in question either shot up in price or was suddenly sold out. How ever I have never had an issue before now.

Just waiting to see now if they deliver the cats pressies due anytime this aft.

Doubt the cats will notice Lee.

There have been stories of Amazon struggling, I pit it done to the snow, and touch wood had no issues.

For so many to go astray in such a short point of time, probably a thief.

The cats pressies turned up 5 mins after the previous post which was good, not getting them untill Christmas day.

Very doubt they was stolen, just a mixture of cockups at Amazon.

I forgot to mention though, With a enough moaning I got £5 per cock-up “£15” in total. I ordered 8 items in three separate orders although the same day. I won’t point out how I will order multiple items next time ?

Thanks all, I no longer think about guilt.

Still not heard from Amazon so it’s getting like Ariston.

Half my family have pressies delivered here for each other, lots from Amazon. So far we have had two damaged parcels (apart from one I spoke about before) and both times our regular Postie gave us the option. What happened then was one call to dear daughter and one to dear gson, opened, checked and sent Postie on his way after a quick coffee with just a touch of Irish.

Second parcel was 3 David Walliams books for our 12 yo gdaughter. It seems the kids are all reading him. I will be bullied into be asked to read them after she has, I expect… The top end of the parcel was wide open, but the books were undamaged, perfect, so I just stapled it up.

Who knows what will happen if they start delivering by drone….

The books are ok. my 9 years old was reading them in school last year, so we ended up getting some. Not bad for kids books.

She likes them, she has read them a few time. Unlike the R Dahl books, she didn’t like the majority of them. Not enough for her to return to them, or speak of them that much

That’s not unusual, our Gd doesn’t like Roald Dahl either. Says they are ‘Old fashioned’ and ‘too unreal’.
