      This is not a punt.

I am selling a PC with Windows 10, Sometime ago I purchased a couple of Office 2016 Keys (off Amazon – never used). I had forgot about it (as I prefer Office 2007), I remembered today and installed Office 2016 on the PC (I am selling), it accepted the Key and activated all seems fine.

When you open Word, at the top right is a message Sgn in to get the most out of Office. All it asks is for an email to login, I am not going to login, I will leave that for the purchaser.

I recall when I once used a key I logged in with my Hotmail) email, next time I re installed on the same PC I just had to use my email to activate it.

Hope you understand, the question is.

Can I sell the PC with this Office 2016 installed.

      Cheers
      John

Yes. I believe you can unlink it from your Microsoft Account.

Go to your Microsoft Account online and look for licence management or something like that.

Thanks Dave, I had a look on my M$ account I can’t find licence management. I will look further into it.

It’s a another key not connected to M$ on the PC ready for the buyer to enter there email.

I found it has all the PCs on, I think I ever owned, I never knew that, even my old Nokia Windows phone.

          Cheers
          John

The buyer doesn’t have to enter anything to use Office, it’s all ready to go. Entering email is an option (said for better something or other)

              Just to say

After trying & trying to release the licence from my Hotmail.

I have found out my office 2016 associated with my hotmail, seems to have been removed from my account.

It appears I was wrongly sold Professional Plus for Home use, M$ have now replaced it for me (for a small fee) with Home & Student.

              Cheers
              John
