The reviewers have finally been able to reveal some of the hard data for the second gen Ryzen. Ars Link

Of course the BIG advantage over Intel is price. If you are looking for the best bang for your buck then AMD’s Ryzen has Intel beaten hands down.

If you want willy waving games performance then Intel still has the lead but not by very much. Certainly not a large enough performance hike to make you feel happy at having to splurge out all the extra money for Intel.

In the world of Graphic Workstations and multithreaded applications it is Ryzen that has Intel beaten to the floor. There really is no contest if you are looking for a 3D rendering or Photoshopping machine.

Good job AMD. Plenty of optimizations and in addition some mobo manufactures have gone balls all all out on DDR4 support.

For me I am waiting for  the 4 and 6 core 8 and 12 thread variants.

My aging i7 ivy bridge is really showing its age now. But it will stand until yr2020. ?
