My nephew has been bugging my brother about getting a mobile. His older sister has had one for about 18 months and recently used her savings to get an iPhone Something. (6S maybe, I don’t know)

My brother and his ex are firmly in the Apple enclosure so of course it had to be an iPhone.

Tracked down a 64GB iPhone 6S in grey, boxed, very good condition on Musicmagpie Ebay, 20% off with a code that has now expired, £152. It arrived today and it honestly looks like it’s never been used. I suspect it was put in a case as soon as it was out of the box. I can’t imagine what pristine would look like, maybe the box and all the internal stuff is perfect?

      12 month warranty as well.

I’ve used Musicmagpie for books, DVD’s and other small items over the years, ebay and direct. Never had an issue with customer service, odd CD or DVD wouldn’t play properly, refund with no questions asked.

As my nephew is still a young, bouncy kid it needs a proper case, OtterBox will do nicely.

If you can afford it, it probably is a good move to use Apple with kids as you can more securely lock them down.

The main reason for this is that Apple has a relatively low market share among the technical cognisant kids, so a locked-down Apple tends to remain that way. On the other hand many kids know how to root an Android in order to bypass restrictions, or parental tracking.

I’d say an android is better so a kid, as you can lick it down very tight if you want to. However if the kid eis willing to put the effort in and learn somthing, they can get around it. Sort of carrot and stick effort if getting a kid to learn learn somthing new.

Also I’m to old and in the android ways  to get the hang of apple ios way. my 11 year old has a 7(iirc) now (hand me down for bigger Bro), when she had issues It takes me ages if ever to sort simple crap out for her. I’m now feeling old, as Im finding myself saying ‘wait till your brother comes round’ more and more 😥

Regarding (roughly) this thread, I have two Wileyfox phones that I cannot sell, anyone know of any charity places that might take them? Original 3yo models: one a Spark, the other a Swift. Unlocked, no SIMs, working perfectly.

Bob, I’d buy them off you.

Either that or give some £ to a charity of your choice.

Sorry about the tardy response Nolan, busy with several jobs.

You can have them both, for P&P which I’ll price up and let you know when I can. Only one charger I’m afraid between both phones, but they are available on Ebay or Amazon. Soon as I know, I’ll get back to you. Maybe a couple of quid to RNLI as well?

                    Suits me Bob. No rush.

Definitely some £ to the RNLI.

                    Thanks.
