Refurbished Laptop

SWMBO wants a replacement laptop. I recollect that the old MM forum had a number of recommendations for good suppliers of refurbished laptops, but I cannot find an equivalent link in Forumite. Can anyone recommend a good supplier, or alternative to Laptops Direct?

Watch out (as always) on ebay. The condition”Manufacturer refurbished” has become meaningless.

Lots of listings have “Manufacturer refurbished” stated as the condition but then go on to contradict themselves with beauties like this:

“Condition: In used condition with some cosmetic damage but all is fully functional and passed through diagnostics”. So that’s used then?

I could go on, but I am the world’s slowest typist.

I’d get the refer think pad over that ebuyer one. Rolls Royce keyboard all day. That 201 with the i7 will be great. Chuck and an ssd and it will serve you well for years.

My T420 came from RefurbThat and I’ve bought loads of PCs from Micro Dream.

Micro Dream have some of the beautiful aluminium / magnesium HP EliteBook 8470p. Grade A Core i5-3320M 8GB 128GB SSD WebCam USB 3.0 Windows 10 Professional 64-bit £319 They have a similar spec T430 for the same price.
