I’m after some DDR3L RAM for the legion.

They are running a Windows 10 rig on 4GB of RAM. It’s dog slow. So slow it hurts my head.

If anyone can help, happy to pay sensible money, hoping to max it out if the £ isn’t mental. Just doubling it would help.

      Mobo details here.

I’ve got one of THESE if it will help. It’s only 4GB but it’ll help it along. Came out of my old rig 5 years ago. Been sitting in a drawer ever since.

No money needed, I can just post it anytime.

Let me know if you get stuck. 8GB and an SSD will do it, but some of the old dual cores really just aren’t up to it any more.

As I mentioned recently, I’ve breathed some life back into some old Intel’s by getting i5’s off E-Bay for £20 / £30. Better to spend money on that than going from 8GB to 16GB.

              Thanks all. Appreciate the offers.

After thinking about it for a while (without Guinness being involved) I may well just get a display port to HDMI cable and USB hub and let them have my old i5 2540m/8GB/256GB SSD Thinkpad on permanent loan. I only fire it up to make sure it’s still working. It’ll be a big upgrade for them.

At least then if I need to do anything on it it won’t drive me insane waiting for it to catch up!
