But hay. I think its not to bad. I’m pretty stocked about it to be honest.

Once upon a time Mars was like the Earth about 2 B years ago and it has the remnants of the biggest waterfall in our Solar system 3KMH high?

Me thinks there is a V good chance that they will actually find summat alive this time.

Mars Died because is molten core became solid and so lost its magnetic fields like the ones that protect us from Sun on earth.

Not sure about still alive, but once alive I certainly hope so. Of course there’s a chance it started here and got transferred there by one of the big asteroid hits in the past.

It’s rather tedious on the Hawkwind FB group at the moment as one of their best tunes of the latter 70s is “Uncle Sam’s on Mars”. The lyrics are fine piss take but slowly being meme’d to death.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Elon Musk walking around on mars some time in his life time.

They are talking about bringing in the old idea of atomic engines. Think it will take a lot for them to reach full potential.

Considering Challenger ( 28th Jan 1986) and Columbia ( 1st Feb 2003 ) an atomic engine’d spacecraft could prove more disastrous for the planet than Chernobyl!! Don’t think that that one would get past Greenpeace or Extinction Rebellion.

Oh dear, the ‘Waving flag and a fake Moon landing’ all over again!

I suspect that someone has mixed up the pre-flight promo pics with the real NASA pics as there seems to be no way that the equipment on Mars can take that view.
