      Fantastic news!?

I tried to find a hoorah or cheers icon but I got this one which I guess is clapping and not ‘the clap’!

That’s fantastic news – got to say I was waiting with baited breath on the first Wednesday after and have been concerned between then and now. Great to hear he’s well enough to get news through, understandable that it’ll trickle through bit by bit!!

Good on you, Bob – you’re still giving the reaper a run for his money!!!???????

Marvellous. I’ve been keeping an eye on his Facebook but no updates there since March.

Hello again guys. Lee gave me a number to call him, which was enough for me to tell him to pass the word. Many thanks for all your kind wishes. I am just exhausted and will not be here long tonight. Have a barrow load of stuff to take and won’t be out of bed long. Not thinking clearly yet, but I have to say that Castle Hill Hospital (cancer-dedicated) is the most caring one I have ever been in. My Consultant says that he has never seen such a fast recovery from anyone over 50, let alone 70+. My wound is almost 18″ long, this poor old bod is battered to bits. Have to go now, back when I can. Your god wishes are important and I see Forumite continues to grow. Well done Lee!

18″? What were they using? An engine hoist? ?

Glad to see you about, speedy recovery.

Great to see you’re OK enough to be here. We’ve missed your stories and witty perspectives.

Concentrate on getting yourself better – sounds like your on that road already and getting down it faster than expected. All good.

                          Take it easy.

Glad and relieved to hear from you once more Bob. Your body has had a medical shock, it will take time to settle down and recover. Never do too much at one time, rush slowly, stop while you still feel you might do a bit more and above all continue to recover, – which will take rest and reset time.

Thanks guys. I have actually been out for two walks today in gorgeous sunshine with faithful SWMBO. Besieged at first walk, after second I just stuck my hat on and caught some rays from the seat across from my house, so that SWMBO could see me if I fell off. (didn’t – don’t know if she was disappointed or glad.) Woken by two of my friendly neighbour Bichons trying to moisturise my legs.

A little better every day, but nights are the worst.

Not in the same ballpark, but I know exactly what you mean. When the shingles was at its’ worst I survived the day on painkillers, but suffered the night trying to sleep. Like you I spent more of the daytime asleep in the armchair.

It’s all good, but being out in the fresh air helps hugely. At least the sun is co-operating. Best of luck, Bob.
