I think it is PM that has the LG G5….but I know someone has!

Anyway just got one for Jr2 to replace his Z3 (as 16GB is apparenty pitiful). The G5 (H850) is very nice, came (ebay) with the separate battery charger and a spare battery – and got the Camera module of Amazon for £15. He’s quite happy. Clicking the batteries in and out feels a bit dodgy but works…

Question is what is the advantage of the dual rear camera – over a “normal” camera I mean? I am now mildly jealous and wondering if I want one!

        Yep, it’s me.

The camera app lets you switch between the 2 rear cameras, one is more like a panorama and the other is ‘close range’.

I’ll dig through my photos and post an identical shot taken with both cameras, it’ll explain it far better than I can.

Ah that makes sense – and nice Pics……rather tempted myself if another cheapie turns up on ebay!

          Cheers

The cameras are superb, almost all my shots are taken on auto settings.

Overall it’s a great phone, the rear button/fingerprint scanner is, IMO, genius. The perfect location for it.

I’m in an odd position for me, I don’t think I’ll change this phone for a while yet, have to be something truly amazing to tempt me away from the G5.

I know what you mean – in a similar position with Samsung S5 – no dual cameras but a lot of the same features like the swappable batteries, expandable storage.

Out of interest did you bother with the Camera module – and if so was it worth it? Took a punt for him at £15 but not sure if it is just a gimmick.

The phone is gorgeous though – screen as good/better than anything I’ve seen….definitely keep my eyes open on another. Like Samsung with the G6 “upgrade” LG have taken away features that make it attractive (to me) – seems to be par for the course though aside from some of the chi-phones.

I got the camera module with it, came as a package.  I used it a few times and I like the idea but it made the phone too bulky.

I think I used it for about 10 days then got fed up with the bulk. I suspect it was the same with most people.

yeah that makes sense – probably why its only £15! Suppose its worth packing for holiday as it goves an extra 1200mAh on the battery but not much else.

                  Cheers
