As I mentioned in a Reply to another Thread, WFox have committed to updating the CMod, to Nougat. Got my update last night. Made a difference: a lot snappier, more useful Apps, but my icons were left in a bit of a mess. Some missing, others all over the place. Not a problem, took me > 5 mins to sort out. So any of you with a WF phone, expect it soon if you don’t already have it.

      I am 100% chuffed… :yahoo:

Glad to see they are keeping up the updates.

Is it actually CM now. Or has another project taken it over. I’d be very interested.  It should say in “about phone” somewhere if cm was involved with the build.

At a very quick Google, so could be wrong, it looks now you are on almost stock android. No cyanogen at all. This will be why things vanished. It will be the cm an it’s affiliates apps.

The only one I’d be bothered about replacing would be true caller that cm used as there built in caller/msg app. It’s avalible as a 3rd party app on all other phones, you’ll just need to assign it to dealt.

It keeps the spam callers at bay, and makes it easy to block any other annoyances.

You may not of even know you was you sing true caller, as it is very seamlessly backed into the cm os. Be warned it isn’t as smooth as a 3rd party, but defo a app I wouldn’t be with out.

Yes Steve I have True Caller, offered again with other useful stuff. It does look like stock Android, no CM logo appears and the Wfox logo has changed colour, sort of assembles itself from bits at boot up. I am very happy with it. No CM at all in ‘About phone’ – just Android version 7.1.1. looks as if CM has bit the dust. One thing that bugs me is that none of the Suppliers recognises Wfox phones. I have just got a cracking contract from EE by threatening to walk, set it up but will not recognise the Wfox. That means I cannot get WiFi Calling. Bugga! Have to say that I am still pleased with the phone though, especially after the update to Nougat. Makes it feel like a new phone. 🙂

Also many thanks for the advice you gave about tethering some time ago. I now have the phone tethering the tablet and also have Google working across both, with the desktop, all synced & backed up. I am beginning to believe in Google now!

I don’t know if WFS has wifi calling, but I know the WFS works on EE as that’s what we’re on. We had one rumning on EE and one on Giff Gaff.

Both long bit the dust, through no fault of their own, so sadly can’t test out the wifi calling Bob.  sorry.
