      Thanks to @jayceedee I who sent me some nokia 7110,s I am a bappy buny. But, does anyone know of a cheap or free way to unlock them without a daya cable?

        Don’t think you can without a cable anymore, back in the day they’d do them in the network shop for a few £, carwhorephonehouse did a few for me ‘under the table’ for £10 once.

        Network branding still remained though.

              I doubt the data base is operational, maybe 5 years ago it would have worked.

                I tried unlock free again and it seemed to work, phone said sim card restricton removed. However, vodaphone sim sid not work. If I remember correctly when some phones was unlocked back in the day they would only still work on orange\one2one or vodaphone/o2/btcelnet so the question is, is orange still going, maybe T-mobile, there still goīng aint they?

                      not all sims will work in all phones I suspect that you may need to find a 3g simcard or possibly earlier.

                        The 7110 was GSM only (2G) so it won’t work on “Three” as that network is 3G and 4G only.

                          Not 100‰ accurate, despite what they claim. There are small parts of the service which run on other carriers on 2G as 3 have no coverage at all in the area and it looks better on the coverage maps.
