Never trust an atom - they make up everything !
July 25, 2017 at 12:04 pm #10496So “1984” has arrived – “George O” will be pleased!
July 25, 2017 at 6:43 pm #10504The first employee who does not hear the alarm clock, may be woken by a pain in the hand…

Forumite Points: 0Over 15 Years ago my brother was working on an identity card system for the Inland Revenue.
The idea was to link it to, National insurance, medical cards etc and eventually credit/debit cards.
The idea being one card for everything. This was being developed knowing it would fail, as loads
of people would lose them etc causing chaos. The end plan being the public would then more easily accept
implants so that they could not be lost. This would make life so simple for everyone, but would allow tracking
of every British person worldwide. This is not a new idea, just maybe implementation.
July 27, 2017 at 11:01 pm #10560Gordon Broon attempted “Biometric Passports” as ID cards: https://tinyurl.com/y94o32j2
All tied to the perennial struggle against immigration.
Broon, doomed, left in gloom.
Sorry!

I'm out.July 28, 2017 at 7:47 am #10562It actually might have worked in one respect as the process to register for an ID card would have flushed out more than a few illegals.
July 28, 2017 at 11:37 am #10563Chip everyone at birth, a good gps enabled one. To enter every public building you should have to pass through scanners. No chip no admittance.
Match the chip with a filly electric currancy and you have a population you can fully control.

Forumite Points: 0In an ideal Utopia, implants maybe would be great. No driving licence, Passport
money or cards to carry around. Perhaps an app to keep track of the kids. If a crime
was committed the police would know who was in the area, and if you were speeding !
Unfortunately various organisations would find loads of benefits to themselves. at
the general publics cost.
July 28, 2017 at 9:43 pm #10624One of my medical conditions is a non-contagious, non-infectious skin disease, caused by a bug picked up in the Middle East. Diagnosed in the 80’s by a Dermatologist as a dormant infection of the Lymph glands, “woken up” by an operation. I cannot wash or shower with soap, gels etc and I have to use ‘Hibiscrub’ to wash/shower, can’t take a bath. Can’t have tattoos (even if I wanted one, never have) and have suffered years of boils, carbuncles and other skin vulcanology, before Hibiscrub. In short, I can’t mess around with my outer covering, so I hope that would get me a Doctor’s Note to prevent any implants. Unless they cure all forms of arthritis…

I can’t be seen as showing favour to people I like. If you do order that dash cam, on your way out of Gatwick could you mail it me please. I’d like a matching pair. ?
July 29, 2017 at 10:33 pm #10652On my way, cheap flight…

Dropped the dashcam!
