Is the rest of the world telling us something about the current standard of British referees?

Will it harm the UK game more than any threatening to boycott the World Cup in Russia?

Will the British Football Associations import some world class referees to officiate at matches with players on World class wages?

Or is the message ‘don’t go to Russia for the World Cup being write large’?

The UK refs was all out of the running 4 weeks ago (or so), when fifa said it’s was going Virtual Assistant ref for the WC.

We have had about 3 VAR games in our league. And the ones we have held in the Fa Cup  games have been handled poorly.

Many more leagues around the world have been VAR and to a decent standard. Surely they are the officials that should be in charge. Not out ‘behind the times lot.

Also its not been a good few years for UK officials. They don’t have some type of right anyhow to have to give us games to officiate.it just shows our medias built in ,go to, race bait attitudes.

          Welcome back, Mad Malc!

Topic: well judging by the performance of our referees over the last few seasons, some of our “Professional” ref’s would struggle at a Sunday Pub League game. To quote Danny Murphy, the referee at Stoke v. Arsenal was wrong to guess at a penalty decision:     http://tinyurl.com/y7k4werr

And that’s just one decision at one game, there was another at the same game and have been many more this season. This particualr penalty was the result of a ref not having a clear sight of the incident: he was well behind the action, with players blocking a real view. It was clear from the TV replay, that Bruno Martins Indi had no contact with Mesut Ozil. The ref gave a penalty as a result of Ozil’s diving act, he was conned. Until that moment, Stoke were playing well: in most of the first half, they played Arsenal off the field.

As usual, Wenger didn’t see it, but is moaning about empty seats at the ground. There is a reason for that, Arsene: they are a fickle bunch: remember the banners – “In Arsene We Trust” in one season, then another lot reading “Wenger Out!” You gave then years of success, you spoiled them.

When the Thought Police arrive at your door, think -
          I'm out.
