Well, I’m not really after a new MTB, but thought I would continue the MTB thread from MM here.
This popped up on my Facebook news feed and it was a worth a good laugh!
EDIT: Not sure why the embed video function isn’t working (it showed in the post preview. Anyhow, the link is here.

January 11, 2017 at 7:50 am #2002I’ll bet he’ll have a pair of cutters in his rucksack for future needs!! :yahoo:
January 11, 2017 at 8:16 am #2004I bet they couldn’t organize a piss up in a brewery!
The fences aren’t that bad, 20 seconds of discomfort, job done instead of farting about for ages.

That’s what I did and after posting the video, the page just showed the embed code, not the video itself. Now I’ve visited the page again, it works properly.

January 11, 2017 at 1:23 pm #2010Hum. I put it in source and then clicked the Embed tab to see what that did and then went back to the General tab.
It showed in the preview that it was posting correctly before I pressed Post though.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

January 13, 2017 at 7:45 pm #2100Had to buy a new crash hat, the pads in my Bell are screwed. New pads can be bought but they take 4 weeks from the USA and are a bit of a con, £14 odd for some foam!
Could get them from Ireland but they wanted £21! No way.
Couldn’t wait 4 weeks as the bare plastic was starting to cut my forehead so I bagged one of these in white and an extra set of pads. Came today and it’s super comfy, slight pain getting my camera on top and I might have to buy a special mount, I hope not though.
January 13, 2017 at 9:11 pm #2104I bought one of these in December and I’ve been very unimpressed. Wanted to replace my Hope 1, which is good, but I’ve misplaced the bits to change it to the larger handlebars of the touring and cyclocross bikes I have. The battery life is a fraction of what it states – I’ve got to take it to Evans tomorrow to see if I can get a refund for it (who will have to send it back to Lezyne to see whether it is broken).
Tempted to get myself an Alpkit Boson but thinking it might be best to wait until I find the outcome of the return."Everything looks interesting until you do it. Then you find it’s just another job" - Terry Pratchett

Way to good for her, crush her as well.
February 1, 2017 at 1:04 pm #3153Unlicensed vehicle, drove like a total fool and then compounded her stupidity by her actions, crushing the car is fully justified as the law mandates that action. As for the stupid woman; publicly displaying her for a while might help her to understand she is not the only one on the road, perhaps a 25 mile naked cycle ride round London on a cold wet day would help her to understand?
I am not even a cyclist these days, though I am a road user and could well do without fools like her and no, I would prefer not to see film or still of the naked ride thank you!
February 1, 2017 at 1:09 pm #3154I was going to post “people like this should have their head crushed, not their car” I thought it was a bit too
right wingcorrect.Happy to be proved wrong though. ?

However JV didn’t help himself, and could of got out the way on a number of occasions but preferred to antagonise the woman. So I think he should have his bike crushed too.
Before the you lot jump on me for hating bikes, I don’t mind them, as long as they are being sensible. most are, we get alot around mine, but you get a few fools, just like in walk, there are two in the video above for example.
Both as bad as each other. I also like JV, but he is no bike role model.
But that women is mental, and it shows. I’m sure at some point, we have all needed to move a car from a-b and not been fully ligit to drive it, would it occur to you, no matter how entagansed you got, to kick off in a non ligit motor! It’s all about blending in.
In Thr 90s I drove around in an escort van for a year, while “practicing” for my test, took my test in that van, and the instructor asked me did I know I was ment to be accompanied by a qualified driver.
I just acted daft. I find acting daft, and polite can get you out of the most sticky situations. I got pulled once for driving my rover 420sli, I asked the guy why he pulled me, and his reply was, “criminals driver rovers, I get a good return on them” , internally I thought that has to be profiling, but instead of being a dick, I just had a laugh with the policeman about it. Which worked out well as I knew I had an illegaly balding tire. but then at uni I couldn’t afford a new one untill the next week, so when he noticed the tire, we was already on good terms, I admitted I knew it was low and was going to get it done, and he let me off, with a “get is sorted asap”.
When you see these police camera action shows, the perp is always a compleat mental case that has no control of body or mind, and a come at dick to the officer, just like this women.
as a young marine I learnt early, when caught doing somthing, whatever it is, be respectful, as being a dick can only work against you. No one ever got put in a better mood be being called a **”* =*#(# – =#+&,…….
February 1, 2017 at 7:00 pm #3179It is worth reading a bit about her rap sheet, or should that be her rap book apparently she already had a suspended sentence for something.
Years ago the police used to say that any car with a fault was worth a pull. The rule was that a minor issue was a sociable thing, it always came along the road with a bunch of mates. It might have been a dodgy sidelight a the start but in the days of no data comms and no database to check for such things in the 1960s all too often it came with no insurance, no MOT, no licence and probably no brakes either.
February 4, 2017 at 7:10 pm #3331Watching the Dirt Shed Show 100th episode earlier today and they show my fat bike, at about 22 minutes in and get quite excited about it! Have to be quick to spot it though, it’s on for seconds, on top of the Garth last week.
Never thought they’d show it at all, it’s probably the cheapest bike in the bike vault by about a grand, if not more.
February 8, 2017 at 6:46 pm #3505On my way home today and heard a funny noise at the back of the bike.

That’s a tear in the tyre, the bead is still in place.
Had to do the last 6 or 7 miles with about 3 psi in the tyre and go slow and careful. Seemed to take all day. :negative:
February 9, 2017 at 7:43 am #3508Had similar before – whilst doing 30mph down a hill. My housemate at the time had to drive my car uninsured to come pick me up! I hear carrying around a tyre boot (or a bit of a margarine tub cut to a reasonable size) can help you limp home.
