You may have seen the Tech Press reports of the huge Lapsus$ hack against Microsoft and nVidia that has released gigabytes of Microsoft source code and demanded odd-ball things such as that nVidia stop blocking Bitmining.
Believe it or not, but according to Blomburg an Oxford teenager is the mastermind behind this hacking gang.
“.Cybersecurity researchers investigating a string of hacks against technology companies, including Microsoft Corp. and Nvidia Corp., have traced the attacks to a 16-year-old living at his mother’s house near Oxford, England.
Four researchers investigating the hacking group Lapsus$, on behalf of companies that were attacked, said they believe the teenager is the mastermind.”
If true, I hope that GCHQ immediately sign him up, and give him diplomatic protection from predatory Yank prosecution.
