And shocked I am. As some people know a got some ssd’s, thinking about it may of got some std’s to over the past week :unsure: but any how I have been using mint for about 6-9 month’s now and when i installed mint on the ssd apart from a slight, and i mean slight quicker boot up time it still was not anything impressive. None the less mint as always been snappy any anyway, but still, I was expecting more from the install on a ssd. 🙁 So anyway I put 7 on it instead as I have always missed summet from windows, that being mail desktop. Yes I could have put 7 in VM but it played up all the time so i thought a fresh 7 with mint on duel screen would be fine, and it is to.
So why I am shocked. The speed that 7 runs at compared to mInt 13 and 17. 7 goe’s like a cat being sprayed with flea spray, and that’s quick, i experimented this afternoon. So why is this? I have a couple more questions to:
My system as 4 gb ram but is only using 3.25. Note this is 7 ultimate x64 so it’s not a 32 problem. Also no on board graphics so I guess that would not knick of the ram.
Next problem is Mint is really slow in VM . I know I have had running much faster previously in a vm on 7 and 8. It’s all to cock and I am stumped :mail:
