Metro Exodus

Ars Technica tempted me with their review of the ‘Best’ 2019 games. Although I’m not sure I would put ‘Outer Worlds’ in the top pantheon of Open World RPG games I’ve played, I enjoyed it and it was pretty good. As a result when I saw it featured on the Ars review I was tempted to look at Metro Exodus. When I found Metro Exodus on sale at the Epic Store AND found they had given me a £10 ‘Christmas Present, sad to say I was hooked.

The New Year will now see whether I agree with the Ars rating!

I have the 2 previous remastered  Metro games and very good indeed. But simply cannot go there again. Like far cry 5 its not gonna happen. Still on Odessey and what a fantastic game it is. It realy gets its claws into you.

I have now moved onto resident evil 2 remaster as odessey has run out of steam and I dont mean Uplay.

Stunning depth of filed and sometimes amazing graphics. Although RE2 is supposed to be one of the best gameplay of the year. I’m not to sure as its the usual clunky game play from day one. Nothing has realy evolved in that scence. I guess patented game play otherwize it would not be resident evil.

How you getting on with Exodus.  🙂

I have just revisited the game to play a new campaign as CP2077 is over ambitious and effectively still broken.

I was surprised to see that the game is now patched to level 7.

Oh except I had to lower Shading rate to .6 🙂

On my rig I can now run the game at Ultra @ 60fps. Looks like 4A have done a terrific optimization Job on it, as when I got it it ran like CB277. So yeah, the game looks stunning and the assets are just full of detail.

Another plus. I forgot how good this game is to play.
