What do they do if it turns out Charles isn’t the father? Far too embarrassing all round and would just open a different can of worms.

According to the new BBC DNA program, 1 in 50 are finding out the same thing when they get their DNA tested. There was one bloke who was told his father wasn’t his biological father but neither was the bloke who’d told him he was (which had started his DNA quest, to see if that was true). His potential half brother looked very similar and they got on like a house on fire, so at least he gained a new mate as he lost all respect for his mother.

Apparently, Megan had taken 13 trips abroad and she could not do that without a passport. She claimed her passport was taken away and seen again until getting to California.

May be completely true. One of the equerries would normally carry all that stuff. It is well known that the Queen never carries any money – someone else handles all that mundane paperwork and finances.

I thought much the same, they wouldn’t be queuing up with us. I remember a program about Heathrow where they have a special reception area for this sort of thing. Here you go https://thepointsguy.com/guide/windsor-suites-heathrow/

In almost every century, there have been allegations concerning the parentage of an heir to the throne, based upon the physical appearance of said heir. Genetic links have become tenuous over time, often to the point of being difficult to sustain a realistic connection. Possibly only the Hanoverians have retained the longest successive inheritance. Which is almost a joke, as their connection to the previous line is almost invisible. The Plantagenets may be said to have a longer true inheritance, but there are far too many skeletons in that particular cupboard.

Centuries of an inherited monarchy, is just BS. I recall a TV programme some years ago, in connection with the discovery of Richard III’s remains. The programme set out to find genetic links to the last of the Plantagenets. They found a British immigrant to Australia, who had been there many years, made a good life, but was still called a ‘Pom’ by his Aussie mates. Iirc, he said that he would not swap his present life for being King.

Interesting link Dave, I was a little flummoxed by the “BBC5” mention, until I realised it was Radio5 Live. Thought my TV was missing a channel there for a moment!

Yet again, a tiny sector of the population receives advantages beyond the reach of the rest.

At one time in my life I had the privilege and chore of accompanying my bosses on a Corporate Gulf-Stream Jet around southern and eastern Asia. We did not go near the ‘ordinary’  terminals or baggage handling and slightly like the Royals, all our passports, visas, letters of introduction etc disappeared into the hands of a minder well before getting to the starting airport. (some of the airports were military, and a few of the flights were trans-shipments to knuckle-biting Mil-8s).

In the Middle East my wife lost her passport to some official almost as soon as she landed, and much to her annoyance needed a letter from me releasing her passport before she could leave the country!

I am therefore a complete believer in that part of Megan’s tale, and obviously some Palace brown-nose is trying to spread a little dirt!

I figure Wills rebuke ( no we are not racist ) ( I will speak to my brother)  when asked by the journalists questions x2 could make things very difficult for the dynamic duo.

Just by the way Wills delivered his answers. Forthright with contempt.

Maybe — they are both a little bit broken from a mental health perspective as a result of their environments in their formative years. If they lean on each other that can help bind their relationship, but certainly they will face a lot of challenges.
