M$ Flight Simulator

In my last job I was lucky /unlucky enough to be a jet-set person who spent 40% of his life cooped-up inside an air plane. As a result I retired with the ambition not to see the inside of a plane for at least five years! Now however I have the desire to relive at least some of the more extreme landings I experienced, with Paro airport in Bhutan probably taking the biscuit.

However, I really do not relish spending the best part of an uncomfortable day in a plane accompanied by the same period outside the plane in the ‘hurry-up and wait’ embark/disembarking phases. If anyone has shelled out for M$ Flight Simulator I would be interested to learn if the game includes offbeat airports such as Paro or New Zealand’s Queenstown or Wellington and if they give any of the adrenaline kick of a real-life landing at these places.

With the cost of PC hardware being so high at the mo alternative tangible products have caught my eye.

One being VR. The oculus. But @£400 I want Oled screens. Spoze I will have to wait for version 3.

But you know oled is spooky real. predator is something else to view on on a oled.

Recently got Starwars squadrons and perfect for VR.

Itchy times indeed.
