Obviously BoJo’s habit of telling blatant lies to the media is well known to everyone, but he is never publicly contradicted by his Ministers. That privilege obviously does not extend to his minions, as Kwasi Kwarteng has just been slapped down for telling porkies on the Andrew Marr Show because they could have committed the Treasury to megabucks of support to keep struggling major energy users (Steel, Cement, Car makers etc) in business.
It now looks like it could be a very bleak Christmas for hundreds of thousands of workers. However I bet when BoJo eventually returns from his holiday in Marbella, and realises his risk of being called Boris the Grinch, there will be yet another huge U-Turn.
