I am waiting for 2 parcels, one from B&Q legacy products with a water butt diverter and one from an Amazon order, 2x Coolermaster fans, via box.co and Hermes. AFAIK, Hermes are delivering both.
I just received a parcel from box.co via Hermes. It has my addy on the outside. Inside is a 256 GB Intel SSD and that is addressed on the inside to a bloke in Ruthin, Wales. I am now in communication with Hermes, attempting to sort this out. A guy in Ruthin on the opposite side of the UK to me, is possibly scratching his head sometime today, at a parcel with either of the above two alternatives in it. (He can keep my fans or the water butt diverter, if he lets me keep the SSD! Not likely, I suppose…)
Not the first time I have had a problem with Hermes, but this one I think is caused by a combination of the Chinese source and box.co. Too many indians?

I'm out.September 26, 2017 at 1:51 pm #12116Hermes are mostly franchises I think. The local courier is bang on, never had an issue with him. He must deliver about 20 parcels a week in my cul-de-sac, sometimes much more than that. I noticed last time he came he’s moved up in the van world from a Focus size to a long wheelbase Transit, he must be busy!
September 26, 2017 at 3:26 pm #12117The Mr. Sinnett who should have received it is well north of you, Nolan, in Haulfryn, Ruthin. My Uncle Jack’s wife came from there a long time ago, she was a Davies.
I tracked down the B&Q parcel: I ordered it for Home Delivery, Parcel Force took it to the local B&Q store. The store has not notified me it was there, but the B&Q chatline guy checked for me. So a Mr Sinnett has my fans (maybe…) and I have his SSD. And he is ex-directory, like me.
I don’t believe it’s a Hermes mistake, I think it’s an error on the part of box.co – their details are on the inner parcel address, also on the outer. Hermes just delivered to the address they had on the outer address panel. Sorting error at box. They will probably blame the computer…

I'm out.September 26, 2017 at 6:15 pm #12130Well it was a box.co.uk error, they admitted it. I am to take back the SSD with the PDF label on their email, to a local shop. Bit of an imposition, but they are sending my fans Next Day. I had already written to the guy in Ruthin, just in case he or I have problems. Photofraphed the wreckage and both labels before I boxed it up. (No pun intended)

That’s his predictive text, innit Steve! Just like yours. 🙂
I gained a petrol chainsaw that got wrongly delivered. Complained like hell to the supplier who said to keep it & sent the correct items overnight. Just hope the person who received some underground drainage items could make good use of them especially half way up a tree! 🙂

September 26, 2017 at 9:26 pm #12143But a cracker of a word. If it’s being predicted, it means it’s being used alot out on the Web and in people’s text boxes etc… . Ewww I just don’t know ant to think about it. Lol
September 26, 2017 at 9:43 pm #12147“Fraped” explained:
So “Photofraped” must refer to photos being edited on FB without permission. Don’t know where the ‘h’ came from though: I actually typed “photofraphed“.

I may be schizophrenic, but we can never all agree about that at the same time. We are going for a lie down now.

Amazon are generally superb at customer relations. It’s cheaper for them to just say sorry and sort it out.
September 28, 2017 at 2:22 pm #12231I agree Nolan, over the years the few problems I had were always quickly sorted out. I suspect Box are also keen to remain as an Amazon Seller, don’t think they have been with them long.
