The end of this years has seen me come to terms with getting old and where I am now.

I am 58 in Jan and way closer to old that young.

A pensioner bloke (70/75) at the buss stop siad to me as I was putting away my tail lift. ” You like to me alot of noise dont you”.

I looked at him and said. “Just trying to keep up with Black Sabbath”. He laughed.

This time last year I would have probabley blanked him.

There are a LOT of downsides in growing old, but the biggest upside is that you no longer give a flying fig for what people think about you, and it is a lot easier to laugh at yourself. Unfortunately a few wrinklies never learn not to take themselves seriously so cannot profit from this change in attitude.

Enjoy the next 12-20 years Keith, with luck you really will not feel your age, but gain a new independence.
