      I am currently only a GitHub user rather than contributor, but I have had a great respect and a debt of gratitude to its many contributors. It has therefore come as a shock to find that this very open source resource, has been acquired by Microsoft. link. I’ll confess I still have not come to grips with my feelings about this move.

        I don’t think it’s a big deal Ed: Microsoft has been running up the white flag to open source for some time now. It’s probably just surrendering to the inevitable.

          Microsoft have published 67 pages of Open Source products

          Consensus of opinions seems to be that this is a sop to make MS look good.
