Games for a quick play

Can anyone recommend a decent game that I can play for a few minutes at a time, that’s not overly simple? I’m thinking like the length of time a quick round or two of an FPS takes, but something different.

I prefer offline play, but the ability to play online now and again would be good too.

As always, free or cheap is best 🙂

You can try World of Tanks. But it’s online only. If you feel you are not competitive enough against other players just play artillery, it requires almost no skill at all to play and is very relaxing. The downside is that you need to grind to get better tanks, crew skills and equipment. Personally I have no problems with most stock tanks but I have always been an above-average gamer 😉

PC or Android?

Android I’m playing Real Drift. Used to play it a while back but forgot about it. You can literally play a track at a time, 3 minutes or so per race. Perfect for waiting rooms at hospitals/doctors.

PC I’ve not gamed on for years, apart from DiRT on my X220.

@tadka I’d forgotten about World of Tanks, I’ll give it a try, thanks 🙂

@planeman I’m finding that I’m not really using the phone for games, even the SNES emulator, so I was thinking PC. I’ll give Real Drift a try though, thanks 🙂

There is a list of short games on Gog, but arcade may be best for a quick dip
