Whats going on with the Forum, is it down for all browsers? I only use chrome and won’t be installing anything else just to view mm.

I hardly have a choice on chrome os, with I use 90%of the time now. And I limit my browsing on my win machine to work related matters. Keeps me more productive.

It’s still there – and loading after a fashion, just that the posts from the last 2-3 days are showing, but not accessible. Just had an email from a MM forum member ( never spoken to him directly before) wondering what’s going on. Told him about here. G R Drury if anyone knows him.

Nothing has loaded for me since Monday I think, I’ve been busy so only tried once or twice each day. Only thing that works is the Im part. I spoke to Dave a few days ago and he said chrome was a no no for him to atm.

II could try FF or ie, but I cba and don’t want to if I’m honest.

You want to start a thread on the Linux course that open tomorrow. I started a programing one on the 29th, I completed week one in about 4 hours, it wasn’t until the last lecture it got hard.

Going to try and fit both coursed in

Now to turn off the email notification from this site!

Well it seems to be working again, just managed to post a topic.

Not tried to log in on my Chromebook or phone/tablet yet so that’ll be the true test.

Had to reset my password again to log in on Chromebook/ phone/ tablet but after that it seems to be OK.

It’s far from perfect but at least the post function works!!

I am sure that the creation of this place panicked some one. There was a little bit just posted by RyanH that caught my eye…

“WeWe have many other idea of how we can hopefully improve the forum. For example we want to add the ability for you to @mention someone within a post and then this @mention would cause the post to appear on the users activity stream (and within the email digests). For moderators we want to add the ability for you to merge topics (topics that ask the same question over and over). We can’t really focus on all these nice features however until we have the core SPAM & notification improvements complete.”

this is a nice bit of software Lee, i just noticed the ‘Activity ‘ page, i suppose it is meant to act a richer ‘recent’ section, seems good.

i turned my email notifications off, but as id been getting emails from this thread before i turned them off, it kept me subscribed to this thread. so i just unsub’d . i hate things cluttering my inbox.

have you had a look at the linux course yet? im just about to look at it now. 🙂

Yea Ive looked, and watch out, they give you no clue as to when the course starts so watch the video’s and remember it and the text inbetween the videos. Looks good though 🙂

The activity here is a mix of facebook and twitter. It’s very featured indeed. The classifieds and directory a well featured to.
