Free Windows 11 Enterprise VM Machine with lots of goodies

Per the title, but the catch is that it is an evaluation machine, and you will have to work like stink over Christmas to make full use of the included Visual Studio 2019 and Win 10 SDK.

Quite nice, and I would have given it a go but…

Apart from only having Pro, not enterprise, and not having setup WSL, I already have all that up and running on my PC 😁

The other thing is, I have Visual Studio 2022 64 bit installed.

It would have been nice if I had known about that VM earlier though, because it took an age to get everything set up and working.

Dave would know, but I think that Microsoft have been making available limited time limited evaluation copies of their software for a number of years. However, I believe all their previous evaluation copies were for physical machines as I do not remember them using a VM version. I think them using a VM for Windows 11 is probably a nod to the number of Enterprises using VMs for their systems.

That’s right. Virtualisation is great for creating / destroying test machines, much quicker than blowing gold builds onto physical boxes.
