Liking the blue bar between posts – makes the reply/quote/edit easier to see, and it is brighter than the grey.
Post number, while not very important, would be easier to read in black than yellow. Thanks for all your work over the last few days, Lee.:-)? +1 to all the above

February 27, 2017 at 9:14 am #4561Just one (VERY minor) plea. Long threads such as this one require that you scroll or otherwise get to the top of the page to use the navigation links. A nice-to-have would be a repetition of the top bar ‘s link to latest replies, topics etc – perhaps in your ‘Pages’ section?
February 27, 2017 at 9:15 am #4562Is there a theme option to remove the stuff from the right hand side? When browsing, I just have a big blank empty space once I scroll past the who’s online and latest replies section.

Yes I know what you mean, I’ll have to have a think about it. What do you mean by in pages?

I’m sory but no, there is no way to remove it and it’s there to stay. I’ll be using the space though as time goes on.

February 27, 2017 at 9:41 am #4566Right at the bottom of every thread is a footer that has a column headed ‘Pages’ — just a suggestion for a location, you could even just reproduce the ‘header’ bar above ‘Forum Statistics’
February 27, 2017 at 9:43 am #4567Yep I can do that, I’ll update you shortley.

February 27, 2017 at 8:23 pm #4574Ed In the title, on the “latest reply” or forum index” page (which ever way you approach it), if you press the date of the last reply it takes you static to The last posted post. No need for scrolling.
See attached png. The time elapsed /changes to a date over time, above the last poster.

I’ve just given it a quick try, and spotted a potential problem.
Because I knew you’d done something different with it, I was paying attention on the first try. I typed in ‘laptop’ and watched it offer to autofill, then saw the scrollable results from the forum underneath. When I clicked the search icon, it showed me results from the articles only. Pretty cool if you know what to expect.
When I quickly typed ‘laptop’ and hit enter as I usually would if searching, it just took me straight to the articles. This could be confusing, especially for new users who haven’t got to grips with the site yet.
P.S. I can see what Ed means. While I was typing this, I wanted to open a new tab to the front page, and the only way to do it was to scroll to either the top or bottom of the site.
February 28, 2017 at 7:27 am #4585Steve, I knew that but in case I have missed something I now tend to scan through all the posts before adding a reply, that is the time when you get the problem of a long thread and a need to get up to the Top Bar.
February 28, 2017 at 9:59 pm #4604@edps Some in links in the footer, I doubt you will miss them 🙂 I’ll be putting some options in the side aswell.

March 1, 2017 at 12:17 am #4608@tippon I am looking into that search problem, I had not noticed it untill you had mentioned it.

March 1, 2017 at 7:20 am #4609Thanks for the bottom links, it makes it easier to navigate around.
March 10, 2017 at 7:29 am #5038Working well and looking good, Lee. The change of the “greyed out” section under the “This Thread for Forumite Changes” topic from cream to pale blue, is more in keeping with the theme, as is the “Forum Statistics” at the bottom of the page.
The green search bar is more visible now too.
March 10, 2017 at 7:31 am #5039I do try :yahoo:

March 12, 2017 at 8:09 am #5083SEARCH – works well and quickly, but I could not figure out how to go to a topic header (i.e. so the whole thread can be navigated). Probably me, but I could not find a way to jump to the topic ‘SSL’ to look for something on AV certificates. I guess it depends on the weird way my brain is organised, I could only remember the context (SSL) but not the exact terminology of my search, and it would have been useful just to hit the topic root rather than everything with SSL in it.
The search itself does not help as once you jump to a search result you cannot get back up to the root from there either. Otherwise a very nice search bar.
