Take a look at this: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/amd-ryzen-game-optimization-aots-escalation,news-55229.html.

New optimisations to Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation also help Intel chips a bit, but the boost to Ryzen is startling. Even at stock settings (a 600MHz speed deficit), the 1800X pulls ahead of the i7-7700K. It seems it’s all about optimising for AMD’s new cache and core structures, which to be fair to AMD, is what was claimed at the start (though it did try the same story with Bulldozer).

It will also be interesting to see how it performs with the ‘process per core’ model that Windows 10 Developer is supposed to use. My guess would be that it would make such optimizations easier to perform.

Motherboard updates for boardmakers to come soon too. Normally hype and excuses are clearly hype and excuses, but this time around it looks like there is substance to the claims. I gather bios updates have been improving motherboard performance incrementally almost daily, but this upcoming one should see a big jump in performance as memory issues should be resolved

And with the windows up date coming out on the 11th things could be well on the way.

ah in the article it says ryzen no longer has to have hpet enabled. thats a norm for AMD cpu’s init.
