My test PC is now running this (1709 Build 16299.15), but seems fine.
Nothing obvious missing but look/feel is slightly different.
Took what seemed a fair time, but the rig is only a G2020 with 4GB DDR3 and a 150GB WD Raptor.

October 17, 2017 at 11:58 pm #12939Only use Win at work and the update took 1.5 hours there (time I should have been, well y’know, working). Thing is, in a professional accountancy environment, what creative tools do I need, other than my mind?
Arch Linux, on a Ryzen 7 1800X, 32 GB, 5 (yes -5) HDs inc 5 SSDs, 4 RPi 3Bs + 1 RPi 4B - one as an NFS server with two more drives, PiHole (shut yours), Plex server, cloud server, and other random Pi stuff. Nice CoolerMaster case, 2 x NV GTX 1070 8GB, and a whopping 32" AOC 1440P monitor.
October 18, 2017 at 12:03 am #12940It just upgraded again – (to 1709 Build 16299.19) ?

October 18, 2017 at 8:23 am #12944Ever hear of creative accounting D-Dan ? Im sure you havent ?
October 18, 2017 at 8:30 am #12945Update installed and working fine. All existing programs are present and correct. Even word 2000 is still working fine.
The GPU performance monitor that was promised in the preview seems to be missing though.
October 18, 2017 at 10:56 pm #12954Here is an odd one.
When I updated my hobby PC I accidently left a DVD in the drive. During the update I noticed the light on the drive flashing away for about 5 minutes while progress stuck at 82%. Now the update is finished I find I have a copy of the rocky horror picture show on my data disc with its own drive letter. Now that was NOT there before !
October 19, 2017 at 11:34 am #12959Just noticed that my hobby PC with a dedicated RX 480 graphics card DOES have the extra GPU preformance monitor. My everyday PC with built in intel graphics still does not.

Oh, I’m eminently familiar with the concept. However, I am also very familiar with PCRT (Professional Conduct with Relation to Tax) and the latest law governing the profession which means that as of 30 September this year an adviser assisting with tax avoidance (which incidentally despite what the press says is not illegal – it’s evasion that is illegal) can be prosecuted without a definitive description of what constitutes “avoidance” (e.g. regular every day tax planning could be caught).
So would I trust MS creativity with that. No!.

But i do know the difference between tax avoidence ànd tax evasion.
Pulled my cash out of film companys years ago ???
October 27, 2017 at 1:39 am #13103Think i understand a bit more about the phantom copy of the rocky horror picture show that appeared on my data disc after my last update.
I think there was an ISO copy on the drive that I had forgoten about. All that is new is that it now has a drive letter.
Also I had upgraded my copy of Power DVD player just before the OS update so that may have something to do with it too.
