Dual screen and Virtual Box

I think this is the correct section for this question but who knows, some one will need to have a word with it’s creator. ANyhow is there any option in vbox to choose full screen on the monitor I want and not what it wants. Mint maya host and 7 guest.

I’m pretty sure that when I did it the other way around (7 host and Mint guest) I just dragged the VBox window to the second screen before maximising it. I’ve had to use my second screen somewhere else now though, so can’t check.

If you have the guest additions installed, use scale mode.

I did try that tipon first but no joy. I have been using scale mode but it would be nice to get shut of the window, well I presume thats scale mode any how. Long night so will look later 🙂

If you’re still trying to sort this out, open the VM as normal and switch to fullscreen mode, then follow these steps from the last post here:

First, open the tool bar by RightCtrl+Home key. In “view” menu, find “Virtual Screen 1” and change it to “Use Host Screen 2”. Now you have full screen in the second monitor. Adjust the resolution to fit the second monitor. Done!

To be honest I can not remember if it’s an issue still or not. Not used VM for a few week’s. Will let you know and thanks for the info.
