Yeah, the Intel 2500K was quite the overclocker and from there on new line cpu’s performance increments was a slippery slop to no where special.

Well I still got my 50£ in ma sky rocket. I will wait for the game to hit the bargain bucket in 12 months time.

I got the game months ago. I tried to play a few times and gave up with the poor performance and game errors like characters floating by. I decided to give it another go and I can say that whilst its still  V demanding on hardware it is also optimized now.

The game starts off kinda mild and then rushes you into a steep learning cure the like of which I have not seen before. Stick with it and take time to SUS (remember the sus law? LOL !). Like, reload a save point to go over a steep learn area. One thing that made learning difficult for me was that I got so sucked in ( meta verse ) that I forgot I was playing a game. I blame that on my 32″ screen. It fills my vision.

So far, stunning story. When reeves appears in the game you do not want to leave.

BTW I have the game set to medium eye candy, with a couple of extras like detail a little higher and it looks great and plays fine.

I too bought it a few months ago when it was on offer, and also haven’t played it. Instead I got sucked into Horizon Zero Dawn which has that rare combo of eye-candy and decent storyline/gameplay. My only complaint at HZD is that a couple of levels require  three+ hours of continuous play with no saves, which imo is far too long for many players. You can however press ESC and pause the game while you go away and do something more productive.

I’m still only 70% through, but when I finish I’ll take your advice and give CyberPunk a go.
