July 11, 2017 at 11:41 pm #10101KB4025342 (OS Build 15063.483) has just installed OK for me.

Known issue – if you have Comodo Internet Security Suite, and don’t have the latest version of it installed, you will not have this Windows Update offered to your device automatically.

July 12, 2017 at 7:45 pm #10123A massive security update that gave me some issues with the Microsoft wireless – seemed to reduce its amplitude somewhat and required me to reposition the M$ usb transmitter bit. Otherwise it installed just fine.

Forumite Points: 0Windows Updates Fails
This happened (first) sometime ago (I have took Windows back to try again)
Security Update for Windows (KB4025342)
2017-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4025342)
It keeps downloading but fails to install (shown in Update History), it downloads again but fails to install it keeps repeating this process.
I have searched the internet, others seem to have this trouble, but the threads seem to go cold.
I have tried the Standalone Installer, it seems to install.
After it’s finished and re starts, it says failed to install.Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
Version 10.0.15063 Build 15063System Type x64-based PC
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz, 2334 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB
ASUSTeK Computer INC. – Asus P5G41T-MLX
Edit:
I just can’t stop this cycle, if I pause updates I don’t get the others, my Broadband use is going sky hi as it downloads time after time but fails to install.
July 25, 2017 at 6:12 pm #10499The MS notes say this update is only for AMD64. Dont’t know if that helps.
July 25, 2017 at 6:29 pm #10500Oops red herring.
Found this though.

Just the job all sorted.
July 26, 2017 at 8:05 pm #10530I only use Win10 at work, and honestly, I have to check what every update is going to install, since major updates WILL break my system (which is not good in a work environment).
The only Windows I will use at home, is Win7, in a VM, which whilst less and less relevant for me, at least works.
Arch Linux, on a Ryzen 7 1800X, 32 GB, 5 (yes -5) HDs inc 5 SSDs, 4 RPi 3Bs + 1 RPi 4B - one as an NFS server with two more drives, PiHole (shut yours), Plex server, cloud server, and other random Pi stuff. Nice CoolerMaster case, 2 x NV GTX 1070 8GB, and a whopping 32" AOC 1440P monitor.
July 28, 2017 at 12:33 pm #10564Be carefull on the updates by all means D-Dan but do remember that the last ransomware attack got through on unpatched systems.

September 30, 2017 at 2:14 pm #12292KB4040724 (OS Build 15063.632) was released during the week, but I was unable to update this thread (problem now fixed by Lee).
Key changes include:
Reliability improvements and fixes for cellular connectivity.
Addressed issue in Microsoft Edge where on first launch after installing KB4038788, or periodically thereafter, users may observe performance issues or unresponsiveness until the next launch of the browser.https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4040724

September 30, 2017 at 5:04 pm #12305Although Windows Updates are getting highly reliable, I have noted one issue with ‘major’ updates such as installing the next one (Developers Update on October 10).
If update pop-ups are announced by Apple (iTunes), Oracle (Java) etc onto your PC DURING the Windows update process then there is a fair chance that the Windows update will fail gracefully. I’d therefore recommend updating this cruff before commencing a major Windows update.
My guess is that the major releases often update the IP stack and Apple/Oracle etc do not let go of their hooks when requested.
September 30, 2017 at 5:07 pm #12307An update about 2 weeks ago seems to have broken compatibility with Hotspot shield. When I activate it I get “no Internet connection ….” quite an issue for a proxy app!
October 10, 2017 at 10:52 pm #12560October 10, 2017—KB4041676 (OS Build 15063.674) – various quality updates.
