John – you can give your eyes a rest for the next 5 years at least – that’ll likely be when a 1TB SSD of that variey comes down to <£25 delivery included or not!! They’re £172 odd at the moment.
Saw a 960GB one on eBuyer for £140 recently that almost temped me.

September 4, 2018 at 7:33 pm #25588That’s a sweet price at £140. I think next time we go on a long road trip I’ll get a 1tb ssd to replace my 1tb samsung hdd. Should extend the battery life form about 9h to 12 or more.

Perhaps not the fastest, but ~1TB SSD on the cheap! I’m tempted as well but I don’t carry around that much data normally!

September 7, 2018 at 11:40 am #25696Noticed on HUKD what looks like a good deal for the Samsung Evo 860 500GB SSD. To make the most of it you need to make sure (a) you have a foreign currency friendly card to pay with such as Halifax Clarity and (b) that you select to just pay in EUR – ignoring Amazon’s offer to currency-convert. On the current GBP-EUR rate it works our approx £75.12 delivered…..which is rather good I think. Here is the link to Amazon Germany – use your normal credentials, you may need to do a text/email verification.

September 8, 2018 at 1:41 pm #25727Cheers Boris – £67.19 for the 480GB too – not sure how these compare to the MXs – had a few of those which have been very good. Really good prices though.

September 14, 2018 at 11:25 am #25918Dave, use code id5mm to get it for £18.99. Silly money.
September 14, 2018 at 11:57 am #25920Actually got more SSDs than I need now – shame as that is crazy cheap.

Code needs to be entered as ID5MM to work ?

September 14, 2018 at 3:45 pm #25922I copied it into the checkout as it is in my post, worked for me. That was a couple of minutes after my post.
Looks like it’s been expired.
September 14, 2018 at 4:22 pm #25923The ID5MM worked for me immediately before I made my last post.

September 14, 2018 at 5:17 pm #25924Odd.
When I made a test buy when making my last post it wouldn’t work in either format.
Ah well, as long as it worked, that’s the main thing.

October 2, 2018 at 1:42 pm #26665Blimey that would have been a result for the 120GB not that long ago!
October 2, 2018 at 6:07 pm #26672Similar price on Aria’s email chain today for the same drive. Prices of SSD’s have really dropped!

October 2, 2018 at 10:50 pm #26682I was torn between a memory upgrade or a larger SSD about 4 months ago. Glad I went with the memory now ?
October 10, 2018 at 6:23 pm #27017October 10, 2018 at 9:37 pm #27021They’re so damn cheap now it’s hardly worth looking for bargains at the lower capacities. Even E-Buyer are £22 for a Kingston 120 and £35 for a 240.
