Just spotted the new layout, Lee – it’s looking good. The blue banner looks easier on the eye than the black was, the categories are still easy to pick out.

The notification when someone refers to a user in a post is useful, as it’s pro-active, instead of ” pot-luck when they see it.”

EDIT – forgot to ask – From one of the chat sessions, I’ve got a Private Chat box open, ( don’t know how or why ), in the bottom right of the screen, that I cannot see how to close off. I can minimise it, but not close it off completely. Is there anyway to get rid??

You should be able to click on the cog at the side of the triangle and click close chat. Let me know how it goes. :good:

It gives me 4 options in the  drop down box, black text on blue is very hard to read, however, the “Leave Chat” got rid of the box. Cheers.

PS – your @jayceedee didn’t generate a notification or an email. Could that be because I’m John Davies on here??;)

EDIT – It just asked me permission to show notifications, so that seems to have solved it. As soon as I clicked “Allow” a box popped out of bottom right side of scree telling me !!:)

I think your desktop notification is going to work on android to, as when I just refreshed the page , I got the new threme, and an android pop up asking me did I want to all notifications from this site.

Now because I know you I agreed, as I never do Usually. So youll need to do (whatever action ) something that would trigger a notification to be sent to me, and I’ll let you know if it works on android or not.

If you don’t get a reply from me I’m 15 mins will probably mean it never worked. But I’m interested to find out.

Thanks John I did get a floaty window across my phone thellomg me to mentioned me.

However I was in this forum at the time as lee just mentioned me at sgb, which sent me an email,  (that is getting turned off btw ), but I never seemed to get a chrome/android noification , tour John I got both , bit itay just of been cos I was already on the site.

 

Both times I didn’t seem to get notification msg in the header of the page.

 

I’ll keep an eye on it.

I’ve got a bit of a strange one here – any page on the site opens immediately, but almost as quickly it’s then greyed out and the spinner appears. It’s only for a fraction of a second, but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything

The forum index isn’t working properly at the moment. I can see the Android Talk forum, but everything else is squashed down the right hand side in a single character column  :wacko:

I didn’t realise that page was more than just the Windows Talk forum, I thought it was a leftover from the forum being altered recently. The downsides of being awake too late  :wacko:  :whistle:
