Talking of pushing limits, when i responded earlier we had gone to collect my kids from work. Two seperate pubs! I was tired so didn’t drive.

This little lady drove. The “sister” to my avatar pic. (8 weeks apart).

A big well done to Lee and his choice of server. The heat we have had over the last week would of knocked the old mm site off line.

Iirc Lee said the server is French?? Mid inland, France is a hot hot place in the summer, so I bet they are well prepared in dealing with heat.

Either way well done all, I notice no slowdown. Well at least not here, in real life, when the temps hit 30 old Duke slows down to a crawl. Body kicks into “holiday mode,” my endorphins go up with the heat, at about the same rate as my energy goes down.

Morning Mon Capitan 😉

I’m having a strange issue when I use the most recent replies view. If I go into a topic, I have to press back several times to return to the list, as if the site is opening several pages before getting to the topic. The more topics I open, the bigger the list is. I’ve added two screenshots to show you what I mean.

Same issue here, on all my devices. Takes 3 presses of the back button to return to the list.

For the moment I’ll have to leave this problem until I can through everything which means shutting down for an hour as I don’t have a test site at the moment.

Never noticed before but it’s happening here though I never return to the main menu via the back button, always press latest replies, as I forums months ago by pressing the back button it doesn’t reset the read/unread flags. But that is understandable to some point, so never raised it.

The need now to o hit the button 3 times is an odd one, but not one that gets in the way of any real function.

It’s a tricky one, none of the usual checks are showing errors. I’ll see what free time is available this aft. I do think the problem is causing slowdowns loading topics which I have noticed but that may just be me being picky.

I see why I didn’t get the problem before you fixed it, Lee. I also use Latest Replies instead of the back button. I guess we go with what works.

I never use the back button my self so if it was not mentioned I would of missed it my self. A note to my self in the future, go round the houses to get to where I want. 🙂

I use the Latest Replies first and then the back button on my Chromebook, a physical button on the keyboard (along with others such as forward and refresh) so it’s easier than moving the cursor.

The sites theme, layout and functions are made up of all sorts and fixed together at the beginning of year best I could and bits and bobs done the rest of the year. I am at the very beginning of building a new style layout from scratch which will reduce all the conflicts and give me much better control, easier to update and less code/clutter. If the forum was a human as it is it would be obese “Very” .
