AggregateIQ is closely linked in press reports to the infamous Cambridge Analytica the company at the centre of the Facebook privacy scandal. AggregateIQ allegedly scraped data from Facebook for use in the pro-Brexit campaign. The company has now been issued with the UK’s first GDPR violation notice carrying a penalty of 20 million euros for scraping personal info for use in the Brexit campaign. AggregateIQ is appealing the finding.

If and when we leave, I wonder if it will be enforceable?

Arch Linux, on a Ryzen 7 1800X, 32 GB, 5 (yes -5) HDs inc 5 SSDs, 4 RPi 3Bs + 1 RPi 4B - one as an NFS server with two more drives, PiHole (shut yours), Plex server, cloud server, and other random Pi stuff. Nice CoolerMaster case, 2 x NV GTX 1070 8GB, and a whopping 32" AOC 1440P monitor.

We have already adopted it, so why not? I think there would be an outcry if attempts were made to lessen privacy post Facebook et al.

We will need to match the EU GDPR rules for lots of reasons, not least if we wish to trade with EU nationals.
