      Hi again, another build query!

So budget and usage point to the B350 boards as being better for me. I have a case (Fractal Design Define R5); power supply (Corsair RMx 650 80+ gold); New SSD (525GB Crucial MX300); and 1 additional 140mm case fan (also fractal design). I’m left looking for CPU, GPU, Mobo and Ram. CPU I think R5 1600 is the best for budget/usage, Ram seems to be Gskill 16GB (2×8) 3200 for the Ryzens, and GPU I’m leaning towards an RX480 although the 5 series are due out on 18th so that might mean an RX580 instead – will wait to see pricing for those and if 480s drop enough to make them still a good option. However, I’m unsure as to the best mobo. I’ve been reading all sorts of reviews, but realised this morning I’ve basically been reading about X370 boards and the consensus is the Crosshair IV but at £250ish it’s way too much. B350 looks to be where I should aim, but I’m just not sure about best options.

Can anyone advise? I intend to OC the CPU a little, but not going to be pushing for 4Ghz plus, so that’s not an issue. The ability to later add another GPU for crossfire would be nice as it leaves a little more room for upgrading then, but it isn’t an absolute requirement. I’m only going to be using air cooling – stock Wraith Spire for CPU, and a couple of case fans. I don’t have budget for adding in VRM cooling or anything like that, so I’m looking for a mobo that will be good to go out of the box but have some room for later OC (when I can afford and will consider switching to water), and better VRMs/Mosfets etc. I *think* the Gigabyte Gaming 3 seems to be pretty good, and the Asrock fatal1ty also looks alright. Other than that, I always liked Asus, and I have no particular interest in RGB or LEDs all over the place, or a particular colour scheme for the build. Just the best bang for my buck that will last a long time.

      Opinions and thoughts most welcome!

The giabyte GA-AB3500 is looking good as it has some new bios. Good options for OC ram as well.

You do not want the gaming 3 its dead money.

Ah, I’ve just order the gaming 3… what’s the problem with it? Reviews seem to be good, reddit has good info too…

To many expansion slots leading to unnecessary expense.
