Apocalypse fitness.

With my gym being shut since yesterday I was relieved when my pull up station finally arrived today.  It was due between 9 and 10 this morning but I had a text from the driver saying that the tracking was ‘complete balls’ and that he had many more deliveries than showing on the web site.

It came about 1pm.

Load of bits.

After about 2 hours of knee and back pain, swearing and mostly gentle use of a hammer, the finished product.

Too broken to test it properly tonight, need to do a few exercises tomorrow and then check all the bolts again.

Initall reaction is very positive, seems to be sturdy but not gym standard, it was £90 not several hundred £.

I might not be able to walk without immense pain but I should be able to pull up/ push up/ dip my way out of trouble. 🤔

Missus and I are missing our trips to the beach. Then I thought, why not go and park up in one of several spots that we know and check it out. If there’s no one about (and these are spots only certain locals know, secluded and hidden from the road) the we have a short walk, with some sea air. If there are others about, we will have taken books and Kindles, radio, a USB stick full of music: we can stay in the car and read.
