Amazon Shopping (prime)

When browzing/shopping on Amazon when I see this

I asume it’s only for sale to prime members, so I carry on looking.

I am not sure what it means, if it meant prime customer get it tomorrow, then it should be on the same line.

But then it says eligible for free UK Delivery, prime is free next day (I think) so is it open to non prime buyers.

Or is 12.99 toi me, but 17.99 for prime

I have seen what I am looking for but has the above so I think I can’t buy it.

I am confused.

Usually the prime tick means it’s eligible for the prime delivery option, in other words sold by or fulfilled by Amazon. Usually next day but there are exceptions which are usually clearly stated.

The free (non prime) delivery will be the usual 3-5 working days, again exceptions will normally be clear.

There are a few prime only deals but they are marked ‘prime only’ or something like that.

Prime is a subscription service that gives you several things (like streaming video and music) but in this case it gives you free (usually next day) delivery on items. The same item is normally available at the same price to non-prime customers, but the delivery is only free (and slower) if the total order (on Amazon-supplied items, not Marketplace) is >=£20.

Sometimes there are Prime Early Access deals, where prime members get first dibs on a time/volume limited offer, and occasionally a prime-only offer.

I would think for your case, you can buy it and get free delivery as long as you add something to take it to £20. If you add the item to your basket and go to checkout it should tell you (how much more you need to spend for free delivery).

That put it straight for me, I can stop avoiding when it says Prime.

I was trapped into prime once but couldn’t see me using it for it’s purposes, so I canceled it.

Be very careful when you check out it asks you twice now if you want Prime but the second time it tricks you with a green “Yes please” and a red “OK then” button.  Next to that is a white “No Thanks” button.
