I am desperate for Jucee Orange squash
Tesco advertise it, so I went to the store that was said to stock it, they hadn’t got it.
Store online shopping I believe, they send you an alternative if it’s not in stock.
That I think would be a con to order Jucee and receive another.
I spotted some on ebay I went to purchase some, to find it’s been removed, out of stock.
First off I did look on Amazon, but they stopped selling it but it’s available to Prime, shame I don’t have Prime, but then I can’t afford it for a bottle of squash.
I do ask why Prime only, they lose a purchase from me, Also would Amazon send an alternative if Jucee wasn’t in stock.
Cheers
JohnJanuary 16, 2018 at 8:48 pm #15755With the Tesco online order if they send an alternative you can just refuse it. It goes back to the shop and you don’t get charged for that item. Need to keep an eye on the final price but I only had an issue once, quickly sorted.
January 16, 2018 at 9:27 pm #15757Iceland sell it, as also do Morrisons
Never trust an atom - they make up everything !
January 16, 2018 at 9:28 pm #15758With Tesco you can opt to have no substitutions in the event of something not being available. If an error is made they are good at correcting it as soon as you query the issue.
January 16, 2018 at 10:08 pm #15759Thanks All
Great stuff with Tesco I will look to see if I can setup opt to have no substitutions, or just refuse it.
My search came back with Iceland and Morrisons, but also did Tesco. I will contact them to see if they actually have it in stock.
Cheers
JohnJanuary 17, 2018 at 1:16 pm #15770I love Tropicana Juicy Bits, SWMBO prefers Tropicana Smooth. Monday I did the weekly shop at Morrisons, local butchers & greengocers. No Juicy Bits in Morrisons. Had a conversation with a supervisor in which I pointed out that there were plenty of Morrisons juice (from concentrate, added sugar) and no JBits. “It sells out quickly!” – “So why don’t you get more JBits and less Morrisons?” – and I walked away as her eyes glazed and her brain faded.
I have the shopping off to a T: get through quicker on my own than when accompanied, providing my List is accurate. Today I did the bi- weekly wash, dried, changed bed linen and this afternoon I will hoover the bungalow, tonight cooking again and all washing – up. Tomorrow it’s ironing.
I don’t know what women do with all their spare time…. ???

I'm out.January 17, 2018 at 4:07 pm #15779Stock control is always a poorly implemented issue at many supermarkets. Modern stock control sales out should come direct from the checkouts as a feed into their warehouse inventory control and order entry systems. Unfortunately at that point it becomes a bit of a black art based on their shelf space, warehouse capabilities, break-bulk facilities, minimum order size, historic usage patterns and MARKETING. One possible explanation is that Morrison’s give a higher shelf/warehouse space priority to in-house brands as they carry a higher profit margin.
One of the very worst companies for stock control is Waitrose – their system is broken somewhere (I suspect at their break/bulk centres)
January 17, 2018 at 5:55 pm #15790The small Morrisons in Louth reflects Louth itself, I think. Laid-back, stuck in various centuries, none of which equate to the 21st. Stuff is scattered all over the place. Example: I asked a shelf-stacker last year why Hovis biscuits (my favourite) were in the ‘crackers‘ aisle. “Because they’re Hovis!” – “Then why aren’t they in the bread aisle?” I thought his brain was going to explode.
The large Morrisons Superstore at Laceby, between Cleethorpes and Grimsby, is much more organised and I actually like shopping there, which is unusual for me. I go there very 3 weks or so: it has recently undergone a big expansion, but after going around the aisles once we can find anything we need.
